|International conference at NIT Silchar|
SILCHAR, Dec 12 – The 4th international conference on Soft Computing for Problem Solving (SocPros) 2014 will be held at the National Institute of Technology from December 27.
Organised by the NIT Silchar in association with Liverpool Hope University, United Kingdom, the three-day conference will feature experts on soft computing from China, Korea and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
Kedarnath Das, assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics NITS and organising chair of the conference said that Yong Wang, Associate Professor, School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University (CSU), China along with Prog Joon Hoon Kim, professor School of Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering, Korea University, Korea and Prof Nikhil Ranjan Paul from the Electronic and Communication Sciences Unit (ECSU) ISI Kolkata will speak on the various dimensions of soft computing. He also informed that as many as 200 participants from India and abroad will join in the three-day conference. “It is the first ever international conference of SocPros at NIT Silchar. We anticipate that the experts and participants will be engaged in thought provoking and result oriented discussions during the conference which will aim to provide answers to the problems on soft computing,” Das claimed.
