Assam-Himachal Ranji tie from today

 GUWAHATI, Dec 7 – Assam will host Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Group C match at the Nehru Stadium here from tomorrow. It will be the fifth match for both the teams. The host team is ahead of the visitors at the third position in the table with 16 points while Himachal are at the fifth position with 10 points.

In the last match against J&K, Assam performed poorly as all the departments were in absolutely dismal form. Barring captain Dheeraj Jadhav, Tarjinder Singh and Arup Das no other player could satisfy the team management.

The Himachal Pradesh team is studded with some reputed players like former Team India opener Akash Chopra, Paras Dogra, Rishi Ram Dhawan, etc.
