NFR Mazdoor Union unhappy over 7th Pay Commission provisions|
SILCHAR, Dec 6 - The NF Railway Mazdoor Union, an affiliated body of the All India Railwaymen’s Federation, has cautioned to tread on the lines of ‘Work-to-rule’ unless the Government responds to their charter of 42-point demands.
Bhajan Chandra Dey, assistant general secretary of the NF Railway Mazdoor Union central committee told mediapersons on Wednesday that since the meeting with the Railway Board on the set of demands yielded no satisfactory results, the federation has decided to adopt ‘Work-to-rule’ method in rendering services from December 11.
“Our demands include scrapping of the new pension policy and reinstating the old pension scheme for the employees and workers, giving us the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission in an unbiased manner by agreeing to fixation of 26,000 as minimum salary, filling up of 2.5 lakh vacancies in the safety category etc. But the Railway Board could not give us any satisfactory reply as yet. Hence, we shall wait till December 10 for suitable replies failing which the federation will adopt the provisions of ‘Work-to-rule’ in discharging duties,” Dey said.
