OIL CMD inaugurates 37th PSPB tennis

 GUWAHATI, Dec 6 - Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India Limited (OIL) Utpal Bora formally inaugurated the 37th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter Unit Tennis Tournament at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Chachal here today.Joint Secretary PSPB, KL Tejwani, OIL senior officers Bhaskar Khound, Pranjit Deka, BK Mishra, who is also the organising chairman, among others were present on the occasion.

Altogether seven petroleum organisations – BPCL, GAIL, HPCL, IOCL, NRL, ONGC and host OIL are participating in the meet.

Several top ranking national players like India No. 1 Ramkumar Ramanathan, Rohan Bopanna, Saketh Myneni, Vishnu Vardhan, Rushmi Chakravarthi, Prerna Bhambri, Ankita Raina, among others are taking part in the championship. The tournament features nine categories.

OIL is hosting this tournament with the All Assam Tennis Association providing the technical support.

Inaugurating the championship, Bora said that it will be a tough contest as all the leading players of the nation are taking part in it. He praised all the players and officials as despite working hard for their respective companies they are maintaining their game and providing service to the nation and their companies as well.

PSPB joint secretary thanked all the participating teams and hoped for a good show during this five-day high voltage tennis tournament.

Organising chairman Mishra welcomed the gathering while HC Bora offered the vote of thanks.
