|Prog for young people with special needs|
GUWAHATI, Dec 6 - Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ensuring ‘inclusion for all’, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, organised ‘Akansha – Chalo Kare Kuch Khaas’, a special programme for young people with special needs, in collaboration with JK Cements Limited.
In the 3-tier event, Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Guwahati organised the first cluster level recently, in which 40 young persons with disabilities participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The competition was open for all persons with disabilities (visually impaired, hearing impaired and physically challenged) who were within the age group of 14-25 years. The winners of the cluster level will now proceed to the regional level competition.
