Violence mars AAMSU meet at Biswanath
 BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 3 – A tense situation was created on Monday at the Himalaya Auditorium, here in the annual session of the Biswanath district AAMSU following the formation of the new executive committee which led to the deployment of police and CRPF personnel at the venue.

 According to sources, the situation got tense when two names Kamal Sheikh and Kalimuddin (Basu) were included in the executive body, illegally by a section of the members of the student body. When other members protested, the supporters of the duo allegedly attacked them, which brought about a retaliation, resulting in a chaos in the meet. However, timely arrival of the police at the spot prevented the situation from deterioration.

Later, at the intervention of some central body members, the meet ended peacefully and Kuddus Ali Sarker was elected as president of the district committee while Ali Ahmed and Ahidul Ali were selected as joint secretaries.
