 GUWAHATI, Dec 2 – Assam have taken home three points after their Ranji Trophy Plate Division match against Jharkhand ended in a draw. In the last day’s play today at Dhanbad, Jharkhand were bowled out for 373 giving Assam a lead of 129.

In the second innings, Dhiraj Jadhav again shone with the bat scoring an unbeaten 106. The first wicket partnership between Jadhav and debutant Pallab Das (51) yielded 135 runs. Dhiraj showed his class scoring freely around the wicket. Giving him company was Pallab who managed to get a fifty under his belt.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 301 for 4, Jharkhand today faced some disciplined Assam bowling. Assam’s Abu Nechim Ahmed came out with figures of 5 for 106 and Dipak Gohain also picked up 3 important wickets.
