DPS clinch best team award


 
 GUWAHATI, Dec 1 – The 2nd Anup Lahoty Memorial Inter School Sports Meet, organised by the Royal Global School (RGS) ended here today. Delhi Public School Guwahati clinched the best school award by scoring 179 points and received the Anup Lahoty Memorial Running Trophy along with Rs 30,000.

The host school came second with a total of 160 points while Maria Public School was placed third with 93 points.

Little Flower School was declared the Best Discipline School. Events like badminton, basketball, football, tennis, table tennis and Taikwando were held during the three-day meet.

Earlier in the basketball event KV Maligaon defeated Miles Bronson Residential School in the final to win the gold in boys category. Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti won the bronze medal in this section. In girls basketball KV Maligaon won the gold, DPS won the silver while host RGS won the bronze medal, an RGS release said.
