Sangai fest concludes
 IMPHAL, Dec 1 With colourful dance sequences, followed by fireworks, Manipur Sangai festival the premier festival of the State came to an end at the historic Hapta Kangjabung here yesterday.

 Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam were the chief guest and president at the closing function.

Speaking on the occasion, Ibobi appealed to the masses to join hands in developing the tourism industry in the State on a war footing. Stating that the issue of educated unemployment is a problem in the region, he called for a resolve to bring about all round development of the State.

NEC member Madan Prasad Bezbaruah said tourism can bring development to Manipur. Tourism can also act as a language of peace, he added. Girish Shanker of Tourism Ministry assured that Imphal can become a venue for International Tourism Mart in the future.
