RANGIYA, Aug 28 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the newly-constructed building complex of Rangiya police station under the State government’s Moitree scheme here this afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister thanked the district administration for the timely completion of the project undertaken for the benefit of police and public. He also spoke about various other welfare schemes of the State government for ushering in economic, social, educational development of people at all levels.
“Our government is trying its best to work for the betterment of the common people and transform the State into a green Assam. In this regard, every PS in Assam will have to go for plantation programme under its jurisdiction,” the Chief Minister said urging everyone to go green and avoid pollution for a greener earth.
Minister of State (Ind) for Irrigation, Revenue and State Disaster Management, Bhanesh Kalita also spoke on the occasion. State DGP Dr Kukadhar Saikia, Kamrup SP Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Kamrup DC Kamal Kumar Baishya besides other senior government and police officials, leading citizens and local public were also present on the occasion.
