GUWAHATI, Aug 25 - Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a German development agency that provides services in the field of international development cooperation, is implementing a project ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Startups by Women’ under the name of ‘Her & Now’, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE).

The project’s objective is to promote aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs in India and it currently supports women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan, Telangana and the North East.

Over the next two years, Dhriiti, which has partnered with GIZ and is the regional implementation agency for the North East, would be providing incubation support to 130 women-led startups and acceleration support to 40 women-led enterprises in the region, a press release said.

The programme is open to all women entrepreneurs operating in the North East, who are setting up or running their enterprises. The programme will be delivered through four nodal centres based in Agartala, Imphal, Jorhat and Shillong.
