Sports reporter GUWAHATI, Aug 25 – Micheal Lucky was instrumental in Green Valley Sports Club’s 4-1 victory against FCI Sports Club in today’s match of the RG Baruah Super Division Football League.

Playing on a heavy underfoot condition, Green Valley had to rally to overcome the FCI challenge. FCI went 1-0 ahead in the 17th minute through Sourav Chutia. Sourav headed the ball into the net off a set piece taken by Momocha Singh.
Stung by the goal, the Green Valley boys woke up in the second session and restored parity in the 61st minute through a spot kick. FCI defender Birbal Basumatary handled the ball inside the box and a penalty was awarded to Green Valley.
After the equaliser, Green Valley took complete control of the situation and went 2-1 ahead in the 67th minute. George Prince followed a pass from Apurba Phukan and punched home. After five minutes, Fayajuddin Shah made it 3-1. Micheal set the ball for Shah and capitalising on the gaps left by the FCI defenders, he gently put the ball into the net.
Shabi Ali completed the rout in the 78th minute off a free kick from top of the box.
Big win for AP Blues: Assam Police Blues posted a 6-1 victory against Rising in the Jibeswar Goswami A Division Football League.
Lohit Taye (55th and 82nd minute), Karuna Gayary (18th minute), N Bikash Singh (36th minute), Sanjay Rabha (75th minute) and Arpon Hojai (84th minute) were the scorers for the winning team while Wilson Dewri reduced the margin in the 28th minute with a spot kick
