 GANGTOK, Aug 20 - Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has extended his warm greetings on the occasion of 27th Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas or Nepali Language recognition day.

Nepali was recognized as one of the official languages of India this day in 1992 through inclusion in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The Chief Minister has stated that ‘Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas’ is an opportunity to honour the contributions made by poets, writers as well as lovers of language, literature and culture, who have helped to develop, progress and promote Nepali language.

Sikkim Democratic Front president and former Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling has expressed his hearty congratulations and best wishes to entire people of Sikkim and Nepali speaking people across the world on the occasion of the 28th Nepali BhasaManyata Diwas.
