Sadbhavana Diwas observed

 IMPHAL, Aug 20 - Sadbhavana Diwas was observed in Manipur today. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh were present in the programme.

Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken a slew of measures to contain drug trafficking problem. He also instructed the state police chief to put in place an intelligence network under a committed officer to effectively control the drug trafficking. He also recalled the contribution of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi .

In his speech, Deputy Chief Minister Joykumar said Rajiv Gandhi played a crucial role in uniting the people of the country. Several Ministers, MLAs and senior civil and police officials also attended the day’s programme. Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (I) also observed the day with various programmes.
