GUWAHATI, Aug 20 - The failure of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to keep the land line telephones in order is causing immense hardship to the customers. The most disturbing fact is that whenever a phone goes out of order, the BSNL fails to take prompt action to repair the same.
These days, majority of those using the landline phones, are also using the BSNL broadband services and they get totally disconnected whenever a phone goes out of order. In such cases, they have to depend on the whims of the BSNL employees to get their lines back in order and there have been instances where it took nearly a month or so to get the phones repaired.
Wrong billing is another major problem faced by the BSNL customers. Sometimes, the customers get rude shocks when they get bills of astronomical amounts and then they have to run from pillar to post to get the bills corrected.
For instance, phone number 2524461 in Rajgarh Road, Bye Lane No. 1 is also facing a harrowing time with his BSNL landline phone. The phone is out of order for the past 30 days (complain No: 13161202672, Dt. 13-7-15) and repeated complaints did not yield the desired results. The customer concerned is only getting assurances and nothing else from the BSNL officials. His broadband services are lying totally disconnected.
This is only one example as many irate customers were forced to surrender their landline phones because of the failure of the BSNL to ensure trouble-free services.
