|Former Ranji cricketer passes away|
JORHAT, Aug 19 - Former Ranji player Munin Bora, popularly known as Moina Da, breathed his last at a nursing home here on Saturday.
The 78-year old Bora was a retired teacher of Tarajan Middle School.
Apart from playing in Ranji Trophy in 1962-63 season, he also represented Assam in Cooch Behar Trophy. As an all-rounder he was a regular member of the Jorhat team in inter-district tournaments.
A confirmed bachelor, Bora’s death cast a pall of gloom in the town. Several organisations including the Veteran Cricket Association of Assam condoled the demise of the former Ranji player.
