GUWAHATI, Aug 19 – All the 14 accused in the funds diversion case in the NC Hills district were produced before the Special Court, Guwahati today.
Ashim Talukdar, counsel for Mohit Hojai and other DHD (J) cadres, informed that the court has fixed September 2 as the next date for hearing.
Except Babul Kemprai, who is presently on bail, all the 13 accused are in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, Jailed DHD (J) chairman Mohit Hojai along with his aides Samir Ahmed and Partha Warisa would resort to indefinite hunger strike inside the jail from tomorrow morning protesting against the ‘indifferent’ attitude of the Government.
Meanwhile, Hojai decided to resort to hunger strike after their last meeting with peace interlocutor PC Haldar did not reap the desired results.
