|Assam Association Mumbai donates to CM’s Relief Fund|
GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - The Assam Association Mumbai has contributed a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Siddhartha Goswami, executive member of the Association handed over a cheque of Rs 2,50,000 to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Janata Bhawan on August 14.
It is worth mentioning here that the Assam Association Mumbai collected an amount of Rs 6,25,497.00 through an appeal to the public to contribute for the flood relief of Assam.
Members of the Assamese community, some non-Assamese and also a few friends from abroad responded.
A team from Mumbai visited Baksa and Morigaon districts, distributed essential relief materials to 240 families under the guidance of the district administration.
