GTC prevail over ASEB
Sports Reporter
GUWAHATI, Aug 18 – Gauhati Town Club registered their first victory in this season’s GSA Super League.

In a mediocre encounter of the Abhishek Motors RG Baruah Super League Football Tournament here at the Nehru Stadium today Town edged past former champions ASEB Sports Club 2-1.

Making several changes in their team Town Club played an improved game today and earned full points. They included two Nigerians-Enondji Patrickaroal and Jackson Victor O’ along with goal keeper Santanu Barma in their team today. However, ASEB should blame themselves for not availing the scoring opportunities in the first session. They distinctly enjoyed territorial supremacy in the first session but failed to hit the target.

For Town Enondji and Victor struck one goal each in the 41st and 53rd minutes respectively while Hemanta Brahma reduced the margin in the 81st minute.
