DOOMDOOMA , Aug 16 - Doomdooma Regional Committee of Asom Moran Sabha (AMS) in association with Tinsukia District Kabaddi Association (TDKA) organised a ten-day kabaddi coaching camp at the Doomdooma College field from August 5.
Over 150 budding players from across Tinsukia district participated in the camp. After the camp, an inter-school kabaddi tournament was organised on August 15 at Doomdooma Town Field which was inaugurated by senior journalist Arjun Baruah.
In U-16 boys category, Guru Teg Bahadur Academy of Tinsukia beat Modern Academy of Rupai Siding to win the title. In U-13 boys category, Modern Academy of Rupai Siding beat Rangajan ME School while in U-13 girls category, Modern Academy of Rupai Siding beat Doomdooma Girls’ High School to win the title.
After the tournament, journalist Abhijit Khataniar, AMS general secretary Durlav Moran, AMS Doomdooma unit president Bhogeswar Baruah, TDKA president Dharani Saikia, secretary Utpal Neog, among others distributed the prizes and certificates to those who participated in the coaching camp. – Correspondent
