New Arunachal Chief Secy takes charge
 ITANAGAR, Aug 13 - Senior IAS officer Naresh Kumar took over charge as the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh today, relieving the incumbent Satya Gopal, who has been transferred to the Government of NCT, Delhi.

Kumar, a 1987 batch IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories cadre, was the chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council before his latest appointment.

After assuming charge, the new Chief Secretary called on Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) at the Raj Bhavan here. Pointing out important areas which need immediate attention, the Governor wished Kumar a successful tenure.

Earlier, Kumar also met Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his Civil Secretariat office here today. “Extremely delighted to meet Naresh Ji. I am sure with his vast experience, we will be able to make our state more beautiful and developed,” Khandu stated in a tweet.

Previously, Kumar had served Arunachal Pradesh as the Additional DC, Naharlagun, and the DC, Lower Subansiri district.
