DIMAPUR, Aug 10 - Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has condoled and expressed grief at the demise of former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul.
In his death, not only the people of Arunachal Pradesh but the entire North East has lost a youthful and promising leader who could have taken the region to great heights, the Governor said in his condolence message.
Recollecting his association with late Pul, Acharya said he could closely interact with him after he took over as the Chief Minister of Arunachal, and was most impressed with his enthusiasm, zeal and dedication to transform his State so that the common people could prosper and live a better life.
“Having risen to the august position from very humble beginnings, he knew the problems faced by the rural mass, and he was determined to change the face of rural Arunachal Pradesh,” the Governor said.
Rajkhowa condoles: Arunachal Governor JP Rajkhowa, who is on leave, has condoled the demise of former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul, an e-mail here stated.
In a condolence letter to Dangwimsai Pul, Pul’s widow, the Governor expressed shock and deeply mourned the sudden and untimely demise of the former Chief Minister. Rajkhowa recalled the contributions of late Pul and his personal interactions with him.
“I and my wife Rita Rajkhowa, with profound grief, join the people of Arunachal Pradesh in paying our respectful homage to Pul and conveying our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and all other members of the bereaved family and pray to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul,” Rajkhowa stated in the letter.
