BSF jawan’s bullet-riddled body found

AGARTALA, Aug 8 - The body of a BSF jawan with two bullet injury marks was found near the Srimantapur Land Customs Station in Sepahijala district, around 60 km from here, the police said.

BSF sources claimed that the jawan opened two rounds of fire from his service weapon to commit suicide around 2 am.

Sekhar Lal Bhattacharjee, the officer-in charge of the Sonamura Police Station in the district, said the bullet-riddled body of BSF jawan KM Mishra (50) was found lying near the land customs station in the morning.

“It seems Mishra shot himself with his rifle as two bullet injury marks were identified on his body. We are carrying out an investigation to find out the details,” he said. – PTI
