Police quota for women
Correspondent
DIMAPUR, Aug 6 - Nagaland DGP T John Longkumer has said that 33 per cent posts in the State police have been reserved for women.

He announced this while inaugurating the Jalukie Women’s Police Station building at the Jalukie Police Station in Peren district on Monday, an official release said.

The women’s police station, which was earlier located in Peren town, has been shifted to Jalukie town as a full-fledged women’s police station for efficient and timely response to any women-related crimes.

The police station was set up with the objective to make it a model police station with various amenities like visitors’ waiting lounge and a conference hall for the staff to make it more public-friendly.
