Ravi made the assurance after some people expressed apprehensions over the implications of the development in Jammu and Kashmir on Nagaland. “We are earnestly working to happily conclude the ongoing political process which is at a very advanced stage,” he added.
Article 371 (A) of the Constitution grants special provisions to Nagaland to safeguard the customary laws, social practices and beliefs of its people, and its resources from the intervention of the Union Government and its various policies unless the State Assembly so decides by resolution.
