Steps taken for smooth observance of Id-Uz-Zuha

 SILCHAR, July 31 - Ahead of the festival of Id-Uz-Zuha on Saturday, the Cachar district administration has deputed magistrates for smooth and peaceful observance of the occasion amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

 In an order issued to this effect on Thursday, Additional District Magistrate Rajib Roy deputed the Circle Officer and Executive Magistrate, Udharbond, Jayanta Chakraborty to look after the Udharbond and Borkhola police station areas, the Circle Officer and Executive Magistrate, Sadar, Silchar, Dhrubajyoti Pathak to see the proceedings across the Silchar Police Station areas, the Circle Officer, Sonai and Executive Magistrate, Sudeep Nath to take care of the affairs in the Sonai, Kachudaram and Dholai police station areas and the Circle Officer and Executive Magistrate, Katigorah, Pranjit Das for areas falling under the Katigorah Police Station.

Further, the order directed the magistrates to take appropriate measures, as deemed fit and proper, for maintenance of law and order.
