“Jeevan Initiative is an attempt to celebrate the positive aspects of like, inform our youths about the developments taking place all over the world and bring awareness among them about our strength and available opportunities,” said Suresh Ranjan Goduka, editor of the magazine.
“Since its inception, 26 issues of the magazine have been published till now. From now onwards, the magazine would be published in every three months,” he added.
The new issue of the magazine was released by writer Dr Mamoni Raisom Goswami.
While speaking on the occasion, noted film director Jahnu Baruah stressed on the need of instilling confidence among the youth of today. “The young generation of the State has lost its confidence and the ability to face the challenges lying ahead. It is seen that the coping skill of the people have decreased now,” he said drawing a comparison between the young and old generations.
“To face the world, we first need to know our roots and learn to take pride in what we are. Our young generation should first be taught about their own land, people, culture, language, resources and opportunities available and the means to utilize it,” he added.
