Equipped with full-time trained medical staff, the MMU will cover two villages every day from Monday to Friday. The MMU will collaborate with ASHAs, Anganwadi workers and community stakeholders of the area. An effective referral network will be established with government hospitals, a statement said.

According to the statement, the MMU will also provide treatment for common ailments and conduct essential lab tests for pregnant women. It will spread awareness on health issues like adolescent anaemia, anaemia of pregnancy, immunisation and malnutrition in children, HIV-AIDS and female foeticide and diseases like diarrhoea, pneumonia, malaria and tuberculosis.

Health education will be provided through focused group discussions, audio visuals, exhibitions, streetplays, puppet shows, contests, painting and quiz competitions.
