GUWAHATI, April 20 – The National Cricket Academy’s U-19 Zonal Cricket Academy Camp for East Zone got under way at the Barsapara cricket stadium here today.
Altogether 25 cricketers have been picked for the camp including five from Assam.
Pushpanjali Banerjee (Jharkhand), Mahua Sarkar, Rituparna Roy (both Bengal), Payal Panchal (Gujarat) will impart coaching in the camp which will conclude on May 16. Anju Dalvi (Mumbai) and Prashi Natlikar (Goa) are the physios while Ratnesh Singh (Chattishgarh) and RN Naresh (TN) have been appointed as trainers. Assam’s Utpal Das will act as video analyst in the camp.
The selected players are: Pragyan P Mohanty, Anjali Singh, Rima Laxmi Ekka, Rajashree Swain, Banalata Mallick, Shilpa Swain (all Orissa), Kalpana Choutal, Ruhina Pegu, Nirupama Baro, Rashmi Dey, Kakoli Saikia (all Assam), Rashmi Gudia, Shivani Kandeyang, Anamika Kumari, Ritu Kumari, Aswani Kumari (all Jharkhand), Prativa Rana, Sreoshi Aich, Aparna Mandal, Indrani Roy, Priyanka Bala, Sabana Khatun (all Bengal), Rizu Saha, Jhumki Debnath, Banashree Sarkar (all Tripura).
