RO to scrutinise complaints on rigging in Tripura
Correspondent
AGARTALA, April 13 - Following the complaints by opposition parties – CPI(M) and Congress, Returning Officer (RO) of West Tripura Parliamentary constituency Dr Sandeep Mahatme has undertaken a scrutiny of all complaints regarding Thursday’s polling for West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.

The polling process of nine Assembly constituencies of Sepahijala district which fall under West Tripura seat was scrutinised by the RO and the four EC appointed Observers on Saturday, according to sources.

The same will be done for Assembly segments of Gomati and South districts from where maximum complaints have come.

Sources said, the RO has already sent a report to ECI stating capture of booth (21/1) under Boxanagar Assembly constituency in Sepahijala district during polling day (Thursday). “There is a strong possibility of repolling in this booth based on the report of RO. However, no formal communiqué is received yet”, said an official associated with the election process here on Saturday.
