Shullai threatens to take his life if CAB is implemented
Newmai News
SHILLONG, April 13 - If the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is ever implemented in Meghalaya and North eastern region, BJP leader Sanbor Shullai has vowed to take his own life.

“As long as Sanbor Shullai is alive, CAB will not be implemented. I will kill myself before Narendra Modi (if it is implemented) but I will not let the CAB to be implemented, I will fight,” Shullai, who is contesting the Shillong seat in the Lok Sabha elections on BJP ticket, asserted after casting his vote on Thursday.

He was reacting to the commitment made by the BJP in its manifesto to enact the CAB if voted back to power in 2019. “I will give my life but I am going to oppose the CAB,” said the three-time legislator of South Shillong Assembly constituency.
