Bulk petroleum tankage opened in Arunachal

 GUWAHATI, April 13 – A bulk petroleum installation with tankages and state-of-the-art facilities in West Kameng Arunachal Pradesh, was inaugurated on April 12 by S Vardarajan, Chief Managing Director Bharat Petroleum and Lt Gen MMS Rai, Army Commander, Eastern Command, a Defence press statement said.

The project is a symbol of joint effort on part of the public sector undertaking and Army to develop infrastructure and facilities in the North East.

The facility, for storage of all types of oils and lubricants and for bulk distribution is made to the technologically most advanced standards. It has been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 8 crore in a record time of two years.

The facility has contributed towards capability development for the populace of remote regions of the North East and is symbolic of the partnership of Industry and Army in addressing the national cause.
