Silchar post innings victory against Jorhat

 GUWAHATI, April 12 - Riding on a devastating spell by spinner Rahul Singh, Silchar defeated Jorhat by an innings and 58 runs in the quarterfinal league match of the Nuruddin Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament.

On the second and final day of the match at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara today, Silchar took 106-run first innings lead as they declared their innings at 223 for seven resuming at 93 for one.

In the Jorhat’s second innings Rahul Singh beceme unplayable as walked away with eight-wicket haul. He gave away just 18 runs in 13 overs. Jorhat were all out for 48 in 28 overs.
