Mizoram Education Dept to conduct classes via Doordarshan
AIZAWL, April 11 - In view of the ongoing nationwide lockdown, the School Education Department of Mizoram has come up with an innovative arrangement to conduct home-schooling through television for students.

An official release stated that the home lessons would be telecast on Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Aizawl, from Monday to Saturday. The daily half-hour lessons will begin at 3.05 pm from April 13, with the first classes on Science and Mathematics for Class X.

As per the Mizoram school calendar, the new sessions were scheduled to have started from April 1.

“There is every possibility of the lockdown being extended for as long as there is a threat from novel coronavirus. Hence, the School Education Department instructs all students to give priority to their home-schooling and their parents must also monitor them during the programme,” the official release added.
