No exclusion of any BTC village: Hagrama
Correspondent
KALAIGAON, April 9 – “People will never allow exclusion of even a single village from BTC”, said BTC chief Hagrama Mahilary at Tangla on April 8.

Addressing the annual session of Bhergaon district BPF as the chief guest, Mahilary strongly criticised the present anti-BTC activities in the State. According to him people living outside BTC only have been organising such activities. He appealed to the people to live in peace. He also said that BTC had already seen enough violences in the recent past and desperately needed peace now.

Mahilary declared that BTC was formed only after approval of all political parties, including organisations like AASU, AJYCP, Asam Sahitya Sabha, etc. We will not allow exclusion of even a single village, especially after the Gauhati High Court’s recent verdict. He also expressed his regret that developmental activities had collapsed in BTC during the last eight months due to flaring up communal violence.

Former Assam Minister and BPF leader Rihon Daimari also addressed the session, besides others. Several distinguished BPF leaders attended the session, including Bonjar Daimari, Deputy Speaker BTC; Lwmsrao Daimari, EM, BTC etc. The session was presided over by BPF leader Maheswar Boro.
