Award for Digboi Refinery

 DIGBOI, April 2 – The Digboi Refinery, India’s oldest operating refinery, received the Sreshtha Suraksha Puraskar, 2014, under the manufacturing sector category. The award was presented by Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State (Independent) for Labour and Employment, Government of India, at a function organised in Delhi on March 12.

SPS Jolly, ED (HS&E), RHQ and a Digboi Refinery team of senior managers received the award from the minister in the presence of a distinguished gathering from the manufacturing industries of the country.

Dedicated and focused efforts by the team of Digboi Refinery in the structured and progressive pursuit with outstanding performance in maintaining industrial safety brought this prestigious national recognition to the corporation. Two other units of the Indian Oil Northern Region Pipelines and Bongaigaon Refinery received ‘Prashansa Patras’ for their safety performances.
