KOKRAJHAR, March 31 – Former Meghalaya Governor Ranjit Sekhar Mooshahary, who will contest the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat in the ensuing parliamentary polls, slated for April 24, on a Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket, filed his nomination papers on Monday before Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Nitin Khade, who is also the Returning Officer for the polls.

Mooshahary was accompanied to the office of the DC, Kokrajhar by his wife Reema Mooshahary and other leaders of the TMC.

According to Mooshahary, the people will vote for the TMC for peace and development of this region as the people of the BTAD want change and only the TMC under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee could bring changes in this region.

“Mamata Banerjee is one of the honest leaders of the country and it has also been admitted by noted social worker Anna Hazare for which I have joined the TMC,” he said.
