8 houses damaged in Nagaland storm
Correspondent
DIMAPUR, March 31 – Around eight houses in Hazadisa village under Dhansiripar sub-division in Nagaland are reported to have been ‘completely destroyed’ in a storm on Saturday, unofficial reports said.

No official independent confirmation has been received yet. Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Husheli Sema said she is yet to receive any report of the storm.

According to a report received here, local residents said that the storm passed through the village at around 3.30 pm on Saturday evening and left many people homeless as their houses were completely brought down by the storm.

They, however, said that various associations and groups in the area have stepped in to help with food and temporary shelter for the affected families.

Electric poles and plantations in neighbouring Manglumukh village are also feared to have been damaged by the storm.
