16 govt officials suspended in Karbi Anglong

 HOWRAGHAT, March 31 – The Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO), Diphu have suspended as many as 16 Government officials engaged as polling officers for failing to attend training of polling officers.

As soon as the order of suspension given by the DEO, the departmental proceeding as relevant provision and norms against the government officials has been drawn up by the authority concerned today, press statement stated.

It needed to be mentioned here that the non-compliance of order of DEO is breaches in official duty in connection with Assembly election under Section 134 of Representation of People’s Act, 1951.

As per the order, the name of officers who have been suspended are Longbiram Tisso of DFO, West division, Diphu, Wophong Engti, Bakalia Irrigation Division (Mechanical), Diphu, Dhaneswar Teron, HM, Phongbrik, ME School, Amlong Bey, Khalashi of Howraghat PHE, Ratneswar Baruah, Hindi Teacher, Paklongklam, ME School, Kharsing Engleng, Forest Guard, DFO, West Division, Deneswar Timung, Assistant Teacher, Bithilangso, ME School, Jitramsha Sectional Assistant, PWD (Rd), Dokmoka division, Jitsing Rongpi, forest guard, DFO, West Division, Mahendra Milik, Assistant Teacher (A/T), PED, Howraghat, Ansing Bey, Assistant teacher, PED, Howreaghat, Nirmal Basumatary, Head teacher, PED, Howraghat, Sarat Narzary, Khalasi, PHE, Howraghat, presiding officer, Maniram Teron, Rastravasha, High School, Pub Shilputa, Pradip Timung (A/T), Lumbajung ME School and Mangal Sing Terang, Khalashi, Howraghat PHE.
