Five arrested in Dhekiajuli on charges of murder Correspondent DHEKIAJULI, Sept 2 Dhekiajuli police arrested five criminals on Sunday who were involved in the murder of a driver and handyman of a loaded truck coming from North Lakhimpur to Guwahati on the night of June 4 near Dhekiajuli Tea Estate Tiniali.
The miscreants decamped with the textile consignment and sold them at Udalguri. The arrested miscreants are Abdul Jabbar (22), Idul Ali (20), Anuwar Seikh (23), Jakir Hussain (25) and Nurul Ali (24), who hail from Professors Colony and Singapur on the outskirts of Dhekiajuli town.
A case was registered against the miscreants at Dhekiajuli PS under Section 302/379. The case number is 207/09. The investigation officer, ie, SI Jamanuddin with the help of traffic I/c Alimuddin Ahmed under the guidance of OC Dhekiajuli PS arrested the culprits.
