Kidnapped advocate freed IMPHAL, Nov 23 – A Manipuri advocate, who was abducted almost a month ago by militants from here, has been released at Guwahati in Assam, police said today.
MI Sharma was captured while purchasing a washing machine from a shop at Nagamapal area, on October 25 and was freed at Guwahati yesterday, they said.
The ultras of KCP (Wanglen Khuman group) took Sharma to an unknown place and later to jungle hide-outs in Assam and neighbouring Northeastern States, he told media after his release. – PTI
