State police team to leave for Agartala

 GUWAHATI, Nov 6 – The Assam Police today confirmed the arrest of ULFA’s ‘foreign secretary’ Sasha Choudhury and ‘finance secretary’ Chitraban Hazarika and went on to reveal that the duo could be brought to Assam any moment. Additional Director General of Police (Special Branch) Khagen Sarma told The Assam Tribune that the process to take custody of the senior ULFA leaders is on and team of Assam Police would soon leave for Agartala to fetch their custody.

“The legal process to secure the custody of the senior ULFA leaders is in its final stage and once that is over, we should be able to bring them back,” another senior police official asserted.
