Jamiat fatwa DEOBAND (UP), Nov 3 A top Muslim body today asked members of the community not to recite Vande Mataram and supported seminary Darul Ulooms edict which opposes any prayer involving the song. The fatwa of Darul Uloom (opposing recitation of Vande Mataram) is correct, said one of the 25 resolutions passed by Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind today at its 30th general session here in presence of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram. Ultra killed RANGIYA, Nov 3 A suspected ULFA militant was killed in an encounter with a joint team of army and police in lower Assams Kamrup (Rural) district today and arms were recovered from him. On a tip-off, the security forces launched an operation in Moumin area, under Boko police station along the Assam-Meghalaya border early this morning, official sources said. PTI
Road mishap TEZPUR, Nov 3 One Rahima Begum (27) of Tezpur Murhateteli died today in a road mishap at Mission Chariali under Kocharigaon outpost here at about 11.30 am. According to information, the deceased was going towards home on a two-wheeler bearing registration No AS-12-B-6662 when a loaded truck hit her from behind follownig which she sustained serious head injury. She was rushed to KCH here. She was later referred to Guwahati and she died on the way. Correspondent
