Correspondent
SILCHAR, July 30 The campaigning of the candidates for the civic polls, stated for July 31, came to an end on Wednesday evening. About 1.24 lakh voters will decide the fate of the candidates on Friday.

The results will be declared on August 4. Sources said that the frequent showers have failed to dampen the spirit of the candidates and their supporters as they were noticed vigorously campaigning in their wards.

The Cachar administration assured that the list of votes, which was in force in the last Lok Sabha election, would be taken care of.
