Dibrugarh official websites not updated STAFF CORRESPONDENT DIBRUGARH, July 8 – The official World Wide Web sites of the district administration, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) and community information centres of development blocks of the district present totally incorrect informations. Surfing into the websites www.dibrugarh.nic.in and www.pnrdassam.nic.in/dibrugarh/drda will puzzle any person who comes across a glaring sentence running across a bold strip in the former site that Ashutosh Agnihotri is the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh and Ripun Bora, the Panchayat & Rural Development Minister in the site of the DRDA. It is to be noted that amongst the seven block level Community Information Centres, the website of the Lahoal development block is on functional form. Moreover, a person seeking to draw information from the official websites about various development activities of the government in the district has nothing to look for.
The information posted in the official website of DRDA has not been updated since 2003 and of the district administration since 2006, despite the district having a cell called National Informatics Centre (NIC) for facilitation of the much hyped e-governance application and regular update of the official sites. Is the cell not provided with the latest required information from the respective departments or is it not paid for the last few years are the questions doing rounds.
