Correspondent
TINSUKIA, Jan 17 Youths with strong mind and health are the foundation of a nation. The strong will power grows with a strong mind and Swami Vivekananda during his short lifetime had proved it. Speaking on the occasion of the concluding ceremony of the 5-day residential Yoga Mahasibir at at the Tinsukia Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Justice Sailendra Nath Phukan (retd) stated that not only for the Indian youths but for the youths of the entire world, Swami Vivekananda has became an idol. His teachings and activities were always for a better world through strong and dedicated human resources. Yoga is a mediamen through which a person gets inspiration to think and act for the better of mankind as a whole, he added.

In the training camp, about 700 participants came from 40 colleges of 15 districts of the State. They were imparted yoga and spiritual lessons for leadership by the experts of the Kendra. The concluding ceremony was also attended by Sushri Nivedita Bhide, vice president, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and Dr KK Dwivedi, Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia, besides other dignitaries. Dr Dwivedi, while congratulating the participants, thanked the Kendra for organising such a camp for the youths at Tinsukia.

Mela: Progressive Women Organisation, an all-women NGO of Tinsukia, organised an exhibition-cum-sales mela for two days on Saturday and Sunday at Durgabari Hall here on the occasion of Paush Sankranti.
