| Hanse’s new offering: Poley Poley Urey Mon After the astounding success of his film Jibon Bator Logori, director Timothy Das Hanse is going to launch his next offering titled Poley Poley Urey Mon, with his own script and dialogue. He made the announcement at a press conference held in Guwahati on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee and the completion of 50 combined weeks of the screening of his film all over the State. Poley Poley... to be made in 35 mm cinemascope with Dolby digital, will have veteran artistes like Nipon Goswami, Malaya Goswami, Dinesh Das, Arun Nath in major roles, along with a host of other prominent artistes. Besides, in an interaction, Hanse told this writer that there would be little bit of Bollywood flavour, with the inclusion of glamorous artistes, including an item number by one of them. This has been done as the script demands it, as about ten percent of the dialogues will be in Hindi. As usual, Hanse’s planning and concept are clear. He said that the shooting of the film would start in December next and it would be released in February next year. It appears, he is inspired by the overwhelming response of the press and public to his Jibon Bator Logori and that is the reason he is going another step forward. Poley Poley... will have music by Arup Dutta, Biman Barua and Hanse. Sivanan Barua is going to handle the camera. It is hoped the film, under the banner of Hills Motion Pictures Association, will have the same success as Jibon Bator Logori. At the press conference, director Hanse, while introducing his team – both artistes and technicians – thanked them for their whole hearted cooperation. While addressing the gathering, Nipon Goswami, Malaya Goswami, Dinesh Das and Kapil Bora recalled their pleasant working experiences with director Hanse and praised him for successfully handling his project. Hiren Bhattacharya, Bobbeeta Sarma and Hiren Bora addressed the gathering as special invitees. Arunlochan Das, on behalf of the journalists present, spoke on the success of Jibon Bator Logori in the light of the problems of the Assamese film industry. |
