Debojit Saha’s album
 Jodi Moi Kow is the title of the Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta (centre) releasing the album Jodi Moi Kow.latest album of Voice of India Debojit Saha, presented as a Puja offering from Puja Production House. The album was recently released at the Guwahati Press Club by Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, IGP and Anjan Sarma, writer-journalist. The other voices in the album are rendered by Dikshu, Albela, Piyasi Sengupta and Abhijit Kumar. The lyricists and composers are – Diganta Bharati, Anup Barua, Palash, Bibhu Dutta and Sajan Nayak. The album, with appealing melodious songs, is likely to be popular, specially among young listeners.
 
Drama for Goa festival
 Maa-Nishada, a play written and directed by Dr Sitanath Lahkar, and performed by the Guwahati-based drama group Samahar, has now been selected for performance at Goa (Margaon), on November 13, in the National Drama Festival, organised by the National School of Drama (NSD). The NSD is going to organise this festival for four plays in different languages – Hindi, Bengali, Manipuri and Assamese. Bhabesh Barman, Dwipen Patowary, Lalit Sarma, Dr Sitanath Lahkar, Madhusmita Haloi, Bhupesh Sarma, Anil Haloi, Rajkumar Roy, Smita Lahkar, Diganta Kakoty, Manabendra Bhattacharyya, Amal Thakuria, Surajit Nath and Dwip Medhi are included in the 22-member team of artistes to perform at Goa. The team will start from Guwahati on November 9. Earlier, NSD sanctioned a project to Samahar for performing Maa-Nishada in ten different places in the entire State.
 
New album
 Bombay Beats, a musical album by G Rajbir Dhillon (Gogi), comprises of Assamese modern songs along with Bengali, Punjabi and Hindi ones. Dhillon was born and brought up in Guwahati, and completed his education from Cotton College and Gauhati University. As a student, he performed his songs at colleges and public functions, and earned popularity. He has most suitably rendered four songs in Assamese, though it is not his mother- tongue. He cherishes a special love for the Assamese people and culture. His co-singers in the other languages include Bhavin Dhanak from Mumbai, one of the toppers from the Indian Idol contest - 2007. Incidentally, Dhillon is a talented artiste. He appeared as a hero in the Hindi film Andhera, and also in a telefilm climax. He has made a mark as a model too. The music-album Bombay Beats is awaiting an early release.
 
Namgharar Mojia
 Namgharar Mojia, a VCD film, was released recently under the banner of Krishna Production of North Lakhimpur. The film is produced by actor Tapan Hazarika, who has himself directed the film with his own story, screenplay and dialogue. The film is made with the backdrop of traditional and cultural aspects of the Namghar and its relevance in Assamese society. The highlight of the film is its camera work by Dhrubajyoti Taid, familiarly known as Kaju. The musical score is by Dilip Borgohain. The artistes include Jayanta Gogoi, Anjana Saikia, Mahendra Barua, Jitu Hazarika and others. Renowned writer Ghana Hazarika, while releasing the film, appreciated it and lauded the efforts of the producer for such a presentation from North Lakhimpur.
