Release of Rongamoni
 The two sisters living in a Raag Oinitam with Tanvi Sarma and Rimpi Dasvillage are Binita (Rimpi Das) and Bidisha (Tanvi Sarma). Badal (Raag Oinitam), a young officer is a newcomer to the village. He develops a weakness for Bidisha. Elder sister, Binita, too, loves Badal, although she cannot express it. Khirod Sarma and Ramen Tamuli are the two wicked characters who even succeed in extorting money from a miser like Bishnu Khargharia. The other characters are Dilip Ranjan Dutta, Ankita Saikia, Ajanta Barua and others. Rongamoni is a romantic musical entertaining video film, enriched with Bihu flavour and unusual treatment. The film is produced by Jiten Dutta and Amal Pathak under the banner of Sarathi Production. Directed by Jadumoni Dutta, Rongamoni, the fourth part of the series with the same title, is releasing on December 1. Dipak Kumar Gogoi has written the story, script and dialogue. The audio cassette, CD and MP3 of Rongamoni will also be released simultaneously. Biman Barua scores the music, with songs written by Bipin Choudhury, Chandra Chamua, Jaan, Amal Pathak and Biman Barua. The singers are Zubeen Garg, Chayanika Bhuyan, Bhitali Das, Nirmali Das, Jinti Das and Gyan.
 
Chenehir Bihuwan
 It is a welcome news that after a (From left) Khagen Mahanta, Rashmirekha Saikia, Dristisikha Baruah, Archana Mahanta and Probin Saikia at the recording of Chenehir Bihuwanlong break, Khagen Khagen Mahanta and Archana Mahanta releasing their worthy son, Angaraag Mahanta’s second audio album Sinaki Osinaki at a function in Guwahati on November 24Mahanta and Archana Mahanta have come out with an audio album containing original Bihu songs. The album, titled Chenehir Bihuwan is produced by Krishna Barua under the banner of Rupkanti Production. All the songs have been collected and directed by Prabin Saikia, who is on a mission to collect and preserve Bihu songs. The co-singers in the project are Rashmirekha Saikia, Baba Konwar, Dristisikha Barua, Pankaj Bora, Ajit Bora and Priti Bora. The album is set for release on December 1.
 
Cinema Cinema
 Cinema Cinema, a TV serial is being telecast from November 20 on Asomiya Pratidin NE HiFi, every Friday at 8 pm. The serial mainly covers the history of Assamese cinema of the last 75 years — its rise and fall, unpublished materials with appearance of artistes, technicians and critics, along with stills and clippings of songs, etc. The planning, concept, research, script and narration are by eminent cine journalist Pabitra Kumar Deka. Prantik Deka has assisted in the research work. The title song is penned by poet-lyricist Hiren Bhattacharya, with music and songs by Tarali Sarma. The serial is directed by Pradyut Kumar Deka. Madhumita Barkataki is the anchor.
 
Video film Makan
 Makan is a Bihu-based family entertainment video film made under the banner of SA Enterprise, produced by Arman Ali and directed by Jintu Bhattacharya, with the story by Krishna Hazarika. The music and lyrics are by Mousam Gogoi, with songs rendered by Zubeen Garg, Semima Khatun and Mousam Gogoi. Sailen Ramsiary is the choreographer. Lakshmi Gogoi handles the camera. The artistes are Jayanta Bhagawati, Chetana Das, Paul Phukan, Semima Khatun, Rupam Chetia, Swagata Barua, Nazim Ahmed, Krishna Hazarika and others. The audio album of the songs, along with the VCD of Rongamoni, will be released on December 1.
 
Audio album Agni
 Debojit Saha has rendered his voice in two offbeat songs — Mrityu (death) and Shanti (peace) to protest against the October 30, 2008 blasts in Assam. The songs have been included in the recently released album Agni, produced by Krishna and Anindita under the banner of AB Productions.

Besides Debojit, other singers who have lent their voices in the songs of the album Agni include Zee TV Saregama 2007 fame, Aneek Dhar, and second spot holder of the same event, Raja Hasan of Rajasthan. All the songs have been able to touch the listeners with their melodies. This is for the first time that Aneek and Raja have sung for an Assamese album. The music of the album has been scored by Bijoy Kashyap.
