Abhishruti enthrals
Abhishruti Bezbaruah enthralled the audience in Varanasi with her classical vocals at a function held recently by Kala Prakash, under the title of Guru-Shishya Parampara. This was the fourth annual celebration of the organisation. Performing for the first time in Varanasi, Abhishruti won the hearts of the packed gathering.

A disciple of celebrated Gurus Rajan Mishra and Sajan Mishra, Abhishruti performed kheyals – Bhailo bhor ba sajanowa and sajan kaise kohu manki batiya in Raga Yoga along with bhajans, which kept the audience spellbound for about two hours, with applause from the listeners and the appreciation of her two gurus. The prominent dailies of Varanasi like Aaj, Sanmarg and Sunday Special highly praised the performance of Abhishruti with comments like – “the beautiful young singer of Assam can claim a right place as a disciple of famous Gurus Rajan Mishra and Sajan Mishra”. At the function, the Mishras were felicitated by the organisers.
